Hey Everyone,

I know the big official Seattle meet for the NW is this summer, but from what I've heard a lot of Oregon guys might have trouble making it, and it's a ways off.

SO, here's the scoop:

WHEN:
Saturday, May 7, 2:00 PM

WHERE:
The Wet Spot Tropical Fish,
4310 NE Hancock St, Portland, OR

I say we meet and then we can all decide what to do from there... branch off and go to other fish stores, grab some dinner, whatever.

Post here if you want to go, maybe carpools can be made, and if anyone wants to sell/trade any fish, plants, equipment, etc... maybe I'll make another thread for that in the buy/sell section, depending on the response this gets.

If it ends up just being me and JK47 geeking out at wet spot, so be it! Not expecting a huge turnout with the short notice, but was planning on going anyway and thought it might be fun. If it works well maybe we can do it regularly every few months.

EDIT: Here is a thread in the buy/sell section if you are planning on going and have anything you want to buy/sell/trade...

My wife and I are expecting a baby some time between now and May 6th, so it will have to be a big "Maybe" for me. :grinno: Hopefully it will work out!

:D

Keep us posted, I'm sure we can do another one before the Seattle meet, I'm at wet spot more than I'd like to admit and I really don't mind if only a couple people show up anyway.

I'm down to geek out for sure. I have a few species I need to replace anyway.

Added a link in the original post for the buy/sell/trade stuff, I know Justin wants to get rid of a couple things and I should have some stuff as well...

Any way you guys could work a tour of the Cichlid Exchange in there?

I probably won't be able to make it, I either work 11:30-3 or 5-9 Saturdays, add in a 45 minute drive and my work commute and I could make it for an hour and 15 minutes if I work the evening shift...

Frankly, the Washington meets weren't that great. We had I think 5-6 guys tops one time?

I've spent far too many days in the hot sweaty fish dungeon that is the Cichlid exchange to want to take a tour. And besides that, they're closed on weekends. ;)

And it's all about quality, not quantity brother. Justin is worth at least 10 of your average fish keepers, I'm worth at least .5. :)

I babysit most Saturdays but I will see if I can get out of it. You guys messaged Eddie?
