Sad, poor kid. More compensation though?? "I'm abandoning my animal, but I'll sue if something bad happens to it..."

If the turt was so important why didnt they &%# house it properly themselfes?!

but she feels he deserves more compensation for what he saw.

So typical of people these days. Always looking for money. That kid got a raw view of mother nature at it's finest, what more could he want?

Ohhhhh boy. I know several people who work at Gulfarium. I'm sure they feel horrible that it happened, but really when you relinquish an animal to a public aquarium or zoo, you shouldn't ever expect to see it or have rights of ownership towards it again. This was unfortunate on all parts, but "more compensation" is being a little dramatic. The owner's other choice would have been to release it into the wild (something I don't advocate btw) and who knows what would have gotten ahold of it then?

i wanna know how old the kid is.
the mom should have at least had the brains to say, "wo, deres some gators it dat dere pond! we shoulda took 'em to the crick!!"

kid needed to see it IMO.
