Came home from Erie today to discover a missing 1.5" longfin brisltnose pleco and a 3.75" Asian bumblebee catfish with an unusually large stomach. Pretty self explanatory what happened but should I be worried about the bb? He's normally out swimming all over the place but it seems like he hasn't moved much from his corner and may have some trouble digesting. Should I do anything such as not feed him for a few days or what???

my guess is that he is sleeping off a big meal...

nothing you can do at this point but check on him once in a while.. so no reason to sweat it too hard, there isn't much you can do unless the pleco is hanging out of his mouth,, probably no need to feed for 2 -3 days

There is not much you can really do now, if you try and remove the pleco some how you will just cause more problems. All there is to do is monitor and hope that it gets digested without any trouble.

Chances are this is ok. This is not too far out of the norm for a bb catfish. There could be problems because the pleco went in head first I think and the spikes will make it very hard to regurgitate, if need be. Close observation is a must needless to say.

If you swallowed something armored and spiky that's half of your body, that would put a temper on your exercise routine too :)

Dive how's the little monster doing ?

As of now he's back in his corner since it's daylight now but I did see him swimming around happily after most lights were off last night and I think he may have gained some confidence on what he can swallow after eating the plec since he was being real "pushy" with other fish such as chasing my mot and gourami and even though he definitely can't eat these since they're so tall and armored he was really checking out the corydoras as well. I think he'll be fine honestly but I'm starting to realize that he's going to want more and more space to himself as he gets bigger (he's almost doubled in size in the four months I've had him!!!).

Dude i had no idea how troublesome these little cats could be .... mine is in with 5 inch oscar who wants no part of him and I had to move him after he beat up the cl he went at it with the a.metae who is the nastiest fish I have

Well he's fine today and seems to have digested it well, sad I lost my expensive show pleco but glad my bb is ok.
