I just threw a batch of mutt baby africans into my 30g with my peacock eel and banjo catfish, and it just made me remember why I liked this guy so much :] I just flipped off the lights and he popped his head out of the sand and starting sucking up the babies left and right then moves to a new spot buries himself and starts again... He's still pretty small only about 3" still growing him out for my 75g... But boy does he eat! Hes been on pellets for awhile and I think he got excited for the taste of fresh meat.

Anyhoo, anyone else a fan of the banjo catfish?.. That is when you actually see them!

Awesome Cats! I used to have a few. They don't do much, but always a treat to catch them swimming around.

I just bought 2 about 3 weeks ago. They are in my 20 gallon quarantine tank with some rosline sharks and a delhezi and they keep the bottom of the tank spotless. I think they even eat the delhezi poop because I haven't seen any since I put in the banjos. I hardly see them now so once they go in the 112 I think sightings will be rare but they seem like they will be a great addition.

Yeah mine keeps my tank pretty clean too! I never see extra blood worms laying around, I usually just toss a couple NLS pellets in when I turn off the lights and there all gone in the morning. Definitely good clean up crew for the messy eaters. I'm going to pick up more if my LFS ever stocks them again :[

my lfs currently have 2 inchers in stock, probably around 10-15 of them, how big do these little guys get?

I have one and hes awesome. Got him at like 1" and he's about 3" now. He usually sits right up front where I can see him and is often sitting vertically in the plants when I turn the lights on
