My "male" Red Devil just laid eggs! I thought it was a male for so long and this happens!

I am going hunting for a male Red Devil tomorrow and will put them together into a 75 to breed!

actually, I would think it's a male also from the looks of it's vent in that particular picture.

From that exact pic, I woulda said female...the vent is smaller and triangle shaped, not tube-shaped, therefore female

Something else came to mind when you said that your male laid eggs is a story one of the top breader in our club told.

He asked what the hardest kind of fish to breed was...... his had been 2 males.

She is prolly around 6", maybe a little bigger. Took about 7-8 months to grow from fry.. she is mean! Killed everything that was ever with her and attacks the glass every time you walk by.
