Woke up this mornin and look into my tank like always and notice my Jardini is sorta just hangin at top of tank. Took good look at him and notice he injured himself sumhow and his body has dark areas on it. His eyes are also sunken into his head a bit? I have no idea how this happened cause just last nite he was fine, Any ideas on what to do? I am sorta lost cause I do w/c, feed and test water all the time. :(

Standard procedure is to add salt, switch off the light and make sure ur water params are good and your test kit is still working. Maybe test another tank water, or borrow someone else's kit or go to ur lfs and test ur water there.

How long u had him? Could disease have been introduced to the tank somehow?
Have u spraed anything unusual in the room recently?
Added any new fish lately?

what else do you have him with?

Sorry, I ran up to a friends Fish shop real quick to get his advice. I had the jar for bout a month, he is with a Red Wolf and a Carpintis. No new fish have been added. Water Param is good and nothin has been spread in the room. I am gonna do a Hefty W/C and add salt. How much is a good amount for a 125 on the salt? I dont want to do to much. I got him with plants but I would rather the plants die than him :( It seems maybe his wounds are infected. I notice the area is darker in color. The jar is still swimmin a lil bit and I notice that he still looks around so I feel a lil better to see him more active.

2-3 tablespoons per gallon roughly

Ok, will do. I am gonna change out 40% of the water, hope this will work :( I do not know how this happened so damn fast:confused: He is atleast runnin from me a lil bit so maybe his chances are good, just never seen a fish eyes sink in like that.... or maybe his head is swollen:screwy:

Sounds like he is stunned he probably hit his head, add salt at one rounded table spoon per 5 gallons and increase water temp to 84 deg F. let him be for a couple days before feeding. If condition get worst after a few days 25 % water change and use a combo of melafix and primafix at half dose for the suggested time. They are very hardy fish keep your water good and the water will look after your fish, be patient and he should be fine.
Good luck

Yeah, thats what I just did. I had just enuff salt for 1 tbl spoon per 5 gallons so I will have to go get more today. He seems to not be able to see in front of himself. He knocks into the glass or even my python but he can see on his sides. I turned the lights out and now am crossing my fingers. I just wish I could pin point the cause!!!:irked:

I thought it sounded a bit funny. I always used 1 tbl spoon per 5 gallon with my discus, just wasnt sure for the Aro;)
