one of my monos is dying. it is swimming upside down at the top of the tank.
im afraid i overstocked the tank. i had 4 5-5.5" pbass in a 20 gallon tank. i was planning on moving them to a 500 gallon pond when they got just an inch or so bigger. i do a once a week 50%+ water change. anything i can do to save it? should i move the others into the pond now?

he is STILL dead.... what a surprise

Overstocking wouldn't kill him - bad water will. Give us info and we can help you save the others.

If the water is already bad - the damage is already done - as seen in your dead fish.
Do regular water changes, and once a week is actually not enough in an overstocked tank.
You can get away with overstocking, but frequent w/c's are a must.

I have a 150 gal and try to do 10-20% water changes every day or at least every other day and my bio load is much smaller than yours. If I had the time I'd 50% every day, don't think you can ever do too many. In a 20 gal with those fish, I'd do 50% every day.

What do you need help with? Just do the water changes, or put them in the pond.
