Hey there folks. Started this in the general DIY arena but will continue it here as this seems a much better focused forum for it. Enough chit chat, let's get down to biz.

Moving the inhabitants out of my 29 Bio mini-reef into a Red Sea Max 130. We're only gaining a few gallons, but the deals awesome. The owner of the lfs decided he did not want a home aquarium again (does this 2-3 times per year) and always forwards on his equipment for a good deal. Getting the RSM 130 for $400, and he's hosting a yard sale of stuff to get moved and allowing me to throw the Biocube in. He's a good guy and already replaced the bulbs and is throwing in the stand as well. All in all, I have a good chance of ending up with less than $100 spent. The system I'm moving everyone into is stock + a chiller.

I don't think I'll need the chiller as the current system never breaks 78F even on the hottest days, but this is a good oppurtinity to look at a light upgrade and get some real use out of it. First off, taken straight from 3reef, here's a couple of vendors that sell the lighting mod kits that I'm considering.

www.nanocustoms.com
www.nanotuners.com

... more as I find it and I would love more sources from which to shop.

The question now is, what will I do next? We're a bit overstocked on fish, and the increase in water volume will certainly help but without modding the system will be as such (breaking down my 60gal pred tank to focus on pure reef)...

60ish lbs of live sand. This will give us a good 4+ inch bed. Will this be useful in added filtration?
120ish lbs of rock. From my breakdown + what's in there. Anything that doesn't fit into the tank well will be broken up for rubble.

Current coral and maintenance stock:
Green bubble tip anemone
two patches of green leathers
1 20+ head candy
1 fuzzy mushroom + other anonymous shrooms that came in on the rock
1 rapidly growing zenia
1 derasa clam
1 flame scallop
1 orange plate
1 conch
1 peppermint shrimp
Maybe a dozen nassarius and another half dozen turbo/astrai snails.

Stock pics can be found on mfk at:

Since my light output will be a bit higher, and the rock will provide much more coral placing space, there are a few I want to add. At this point I would love input as to whether or not these will work.

Frogspawn ( or torch or hammer, depending)
Low light requirement gorgonian (can't remember the exact type)
Acanth. Lord.
Scroll coral (turbinaria?)
Blue open brain coral (looks like a moon fauvites)
green open brain coral

Plus critters at maybe half a dozen hermits and a cleaner shrimp.

The only things I'm planning to mod in the immediate future are the return line for a mag 5 I have laying around plus a good 250gph pump on the opposite side to give better "all over" water circulation.

I have planned out a sump for the stand, thus using my excalibur skimmer and opening up the back chamber of this badboy for even more live rock rubble plus volume.

That all being said and done, any other corals for the two 55w 10000k pc's?
If I move to a MH will I have to move corals to avoid shock?
Is the future stock list survivable?
Do you guys know where other nano-mods can be found?

Thanks much and swim on!
