:cry:hey guys. i have got some driftwood from a friend and it has been soaking for 6 days now and still has not sunk. Also I noticed a thin oily layer above the wood a day after i put it in.What should I do? is this normal?once i noticed the oily layer i took the wood out but i still wanna know what it is and if it can harm my tank. Thanks bill.

Any fish in the tank? ALso have you been feeding them alot of foods with protein or fat? That could explain the oil. Where did you get the driftwood, what kind is it?
