im picking up a 120 from deathcurl tuesday after school

he told me its drilled but needs overflow boxes, it also needs to be re-glued
and i think the bracing needs to be redone..

Question 1 - how and what can i make overflow boxes
Question 2 - how could i reseal it?
Question 3 - how would u go about re bracing it??

thanks

Tank holds water and is braced fine....everything is just precautionary evaluation. And besides that, you can't beat a free tank, haha.

im getting the tank for free for a good friend ;)

but i need to build overflow boxes right??

you don't need overflow boxes. just build a couple of standpipes.

dont think my bro wants the pips just sitting there lol

No clue on the over flow boxes, but if your gona re seal it, you have to remove all the silicone than re aply aqarium silicone onto it.

Try ebay for overflow boxes and see what there made out of.

Acrylic/plexiglass comes in black and dark smoke. If you have a surplus store around, they will probably have some. If not, search the phone book. Add the stand pipes and use the black acrylic as surrounds to hide the pipes. That way you don't have to worry about the integrity of the seal in the event of a power outage. (so all 120 gallons don't drain out)

one other thing, if you make overflow boxes without the stand pipes, then the acrylic will have to be thick enough to withstand the water pressure of the whole tank. In other words, it will need to be at least half inch thick. That, you will not find in most surplus stores.
