my water reaks what can I do to get rid of the smell. I have a 55 gallon with a few juvi dempsey, pleco and adult rd. I feed omga one and dainichi I change there water 2 days later it stinks i have 2 ac110 on them sponge ,biomax and purigen . Would carbon help with smell?????

yeah carbon makes it not smell. You might be overfeeding also.

And how often do you do waterchanges? You should do them weekly, at least 20%

We suggest more because it is better then doing 20%.

Im suprised the red devil has spared the co-inhabitants lifes.
Carbon removes odours, but finding the source of the stench and eliminating it is the best treatment. Rotting food/fish and organic matter all contribute to a foul smell.

What does it smell like? Fish? Crap? Ammonia? Just curious because what the smell is might give a clue to the problem.
