ok...fish dead, looking to start over

ok well i lost my blue cat, sunfish,bluegill. i had them in my 55 and now there's just a lone one-eyed sun cat. even the pleco i bought from the lfs i got the feeders died. so what should i do before restocking?

Check your water parameters. How often do you change your water? Do you add dechlorinator? Does it eliminate both chlorine and chloramine? What foods do you feed them? What is your temperature?

if it was disease, depending on the disease you might have to take apart the tank and disinfect before starting over

i am not sure of the disease, all i know, is it got in my 100 and 55 from some feeders from the lfs. i saw white specs on a convict i also purchased about 5 days later and noticed the spots on a couple feeders. so i treated both tanks for ich. i used nix-ich. 3 days after initial treatment i lost the stock. then 6 days later i lost my blue cat.

Id suggest finding out why every fish you owned died before getting anything new.

i would find the killer and spend soe time getting the tank perfect before adding anything new, ive had NTD (neon tetra disease) and no mater how much i treated and got new fish they would just die. I ended up having to bleach the tank. Its a nice healthy tank nowand never had a problem but i went about a month without restocking
