I only have to make a little road trip to sweeden.

found a place where i can get Cichla ocellaris:headbang2

but got a few questions, how many should i start with for my 600 gallons ?

and should i buy some other tank mates ?

maybe Crenicichla lepidota? or Metynnis hypsauchen silver dollar/ might be food when cichls grow up.

and again another thing why is it ppl say dont feed your cichlas sea food. ?? (can get alot of sea food here in denmark im surrounded by water :nilly:

And again thanks alot to all of you :)

You can fit about 10-12 in there depending on dimensions. And sea food is healthy for cichla. I just don't suggest anchovies.

ok so i can feed them. codfish, herring, plaice, calms without trubbels.

but you dont sugest to have other fish in same tank ^^

Thanks Rasmus
All thats healthy for them, yes. And as for tankmates, it's your own personal preference, but I have a marble catfish and silver arowana with mine.

ok nice what kinda catfish would you sugest. ? i think i also try with a Crenicichla if i can get one.
(one who dosent eat the cichlas =P )

nice to hear i can feed them with sea fish. then its way easyer to feed em for me =)

I don't suggest any true monster catfish like tsn's or rtcs till the peacock bass have a lot of length on them. I suggest juruense, marbled catfish, lima shovelnose catfish, 4 line pims, and many others. I just suggest to stick with anything that grows 3 feet or less.

i say put in an silver aro.

also you can try different rays.

ok maybe i should find some sort of catfish

i where thinking of buying 4 small rays and then give them to( (Denmarks akvarium) a puplic place where you can go see big fishtanks of all types. Like an museeum.)
when they get to big

i dont know about the aro i want the cichlas to be the show of the tank :)

Things like motoro stingrays won't get too big. I say go with a few of them.
