Or pictures if you got them!

I'm growing out geos & bass and I'm torn between the center piece for my new big tank. It's a few months away I just wanna gather opinions from all you experts! I'm going 240 gallon black background with black sand and a couple silk plants in the center. BUT should the plants be with a nice piece of drift wood or a bolder pile? In stuck lol!

White sand is better than black sand, don't get black sand. The driftwood leaks tannins into the water, so unless it's all out of tannins don't put it in. Stuff gets in between the rocks and the filter can't get it, so it's hard to keep the water clean like that. Go for white sand, silk plants, and black background in your 240.

agrees black sand and black back made for a dark tank but it depends what look you want. both fish are south american and wouldnt mind tannins in their water some like the look especially if you want a dark look. what would look really great with everything dark would be some nice live plants attached to your driftwood. anubias or java fern tied down will be safe with your fish and look great
