If i was to say Channa sp. "new prince"/Platinum ....you guy's would say??????

Well thats just as valid as ....Oh lets say Super duper mega white beast fiend:ROFL:

seriously though I've heard that trade name mentioned somewhere else recently(scratches head) ,nope it eludes me for now.

I'd advise your mate to ask the shop what country they were imported from that's always a good start.

I have a sneaking feeling they may be something big though as they look to be "wrong"(head shape) for the ever expanding C.Gachua strain.

I'd certainly like to see more pics as they grow.

Cheers!:)

you sure mate?
go and tell oddball dave this as there his, will tell him you said:D

hi
because ive a few people have asked me what they are,ive said all along a variant of punctata.i was there the day that andy from bas priced all the new channa order,i remember looking at the channa you have a pic of.with the last shipment of channa bas recieved there where a couple of different sizes of the normal punctata plus some spec greenfins which is a varient of punctata,so im pretty sure that the channa in the pic you have is a punctata.i would agree strange markings but the body and defo the head says punctata to me all day long.
i gave them a wide birth because when the first came in the were beat up badly and stressed due to the order been delayed.
would be nice to see a pic of that channa in about a month or so see how it settles down.
