heres my plan i got bored and when i get bored i start thinkin and thats not good, i have 2 old 10 gallons and i want to knock a wall out of both of them then re appoxi em togather to make what will be like a 20 wide kinda thing, anyway thats the plan, i thought it would be pretty easy, the hardest thing i think to do is gonna be getting the back wall of glass off of each tank, if everyone dosent think this will be a complete train wreck, then how would i go about gettin the back wall of glass off of eah tank, thanx!

First thing that comes to my mind is a pressure issue, I mean the ten has the black rim around it if you cut that off you are going to lose the support from that top black ring...

But if he cuts it VERY carefully he may be able to "super glue" the frame back togather.

BUT...........wouldnt the glass then be too thin??

ya i would appoxi the black plastic rim back on, anybody forsure this will work if done right??

it should be fine, my only concern it thatthe whole tank might then sag arounf the new joint in the middle.

That new joint in the middle sides will collapse. There is not enough strength in the adhesive to hold a wall with two pieces of glass siliconed together.

To me, time is money. To weld 2 $9 10 gallon tanks together takes over 4 hours.... to me I would rather work for those 4 hours and pony up the $30 to all-glass for a solid tank (if I even needed the 20g tank in the first place).

i dont need a 20 gallon, i was just gonna see how easy it may have been to do,

its a 7$ tank... try it
