After changing up my tank's decore a few times, I am finally satisfied.

Here is the first full tank pic I took:

Thanks for the comments. There is a GT in the first pick, but the Vieja was picking on him, so I got rid of him.

The latest change does look the best! Get a bunch of java fern growing on that lovely piece of driftwood!

I tried Java Fern. I put several pieces on the driftwood. It got eaten/destroyed. At first I suspected my clown loaches, but after watching the Vieja try and take chunks out of the fake plants I have in there now, I am thinking it was him.
 
tank looks very nice, try to get some more swim space for the fish. any problems with health of the cuda? mine had a weird disease.
