hello all! I have been lurking here for almost 4 years now without a post, and I can no longer stand it!! I built my 125 gallon african cichlid tank into the wall in the basement 4 years ago, and still have all 12 of the original tankmates-pix to come. All this with minimum maintenance and I only run an emperor 400 for filtration, I do not powerfeed them so the tank stays remarkably clear and clean and is VERY rewarding to me. I am posting today because I am very excited for 2 reasons- 1. my 14 year old son has finally expressed interest in getting into the fishing business-so, for his birthday in March we are buying him a 90 gallon tank for his room...sssshhhh, its a suprise. The thing is this tank originally belonged to me 15 years ago, I bought it new, gave it to my brother, who gave it to another fella who gave it to another fella who is selling it back to me!!!! Still has all the equipment I originally purchased with it!!!! Number 2, I have been given the OK from my lovely wife to setup a tank in my home office, a 150 gallon tall boy!!! I can't wait to get started-sorry for the long rant ladies and gentleman, but I am just a tad excited to expand the aquatic life in our home!!!
