I have three breeding pairs off Convicts right now. Two of which have fry now. I have had it with, well we will call them pair #2 for now. These two are the worst and most unfit parents I have ever seen out of any cichlid that I have ever knowen!!!! Pair #1 protects babys, cares for them just like they should. But these two, this is their second attempt at this and once again prove to me they are worthless. The first batch they ate the eegs. I tought this could have been do to the fact that there were many other convicts in the tank at the time, including pair #1. Nope I was wronge. I moved the rest of the fish out except for pair #1 after pair #2 had laid their second batch. The second batch hatched. Almost immediately after they were born I noticed that both would leave the nest unprotected while eating. Pair#1 would never do this they take turns as they should. Then I noticed the male not being as attentive as he should. They half a*s tended to the new little fry for about a week and a half now. But I just discovered that well they decided to eat them all! :swear: This is the last straw for these two little SH*TS. I AM SERIOULY considering making FISH FOOD out of the both of them! I will take a minute to here what the board has to say. Tell me what you think, and should they be fish food yay or nay?

sometimes it takes a few tries to get it right, give 'em another chance:)

Call CPS, (cichlid protection services).

I say to just send them to the Trust. He'll give them a good home for sure. They can even make a few friends. :)

Well, whats going to eat them...and can you make a video?!

Your choice people, it can either be a Flowerhorn, Manganese, Dempsey, catfish or a Buddakafri tilapia if this is spelled right?
JAG!

I have noticed that some people behave the same way. They should never be allowed to have childern!
