Ive been looking for convicts a male and female for a while. and every store only has males so today i went into petco and saw convicts... then i saw two in a corner together. then i saw eggs in the back.. now the convicts didnt have the orange bellies.. but there were eggs.. so im like wow let me have those two.. ofcorse she took 15 minutes fishing. messing up the pair... there were only 3 in the tank so i was like just give me all three of them...

black... they didnt have pink.. i wanna get one tho... a female.. just cant find any locally. its like some guy is going around taking all te females and leaving the males... it sucks lol

yea im going to use them as feeders and my girlfriend wants to see the spawn... i figure they are the easiest without killing everything in my tank like jewels..

its funny because the convict started eating the ends trying to hurry up when she caught one and was about to go for her lol... i was like awwww.... she finished them all too lmao!!!

A breeding pair of convicts will equal bad news for everything else in the tank.

ive bred them before... they just kept other fish out of there area... my jewels killed every fish... I had them in a 90

Your convicts still might beat the crap out of your fish. My convicts didn't kill anything, but they just bit fins from huge fish and double teamed and attacked other fish.

Put them in a 20 gallon long or something, they will still breed, and you can just take the babies out when they get big enough and feed them, but good luck, I had babies live in my 75 with oscars, jack dempseys, texas, and the convicts were from wriggler stage when I took the parents out, and some still survived to be nickel sized.
