Hi guys, Just scored a new 65 today for free!:headbang2 and i want to combine the ocupants from my other 2 20 gallon tanks into this one. but I'm a bit worried about compatability. the stock list is:
1 striped raphael cat
1 young L001
pair of balloon rams
5 young angels
BGK
3 giant danio
2 honey gourami
I want to use the 20 gallons for pleco breeding tanks so i hope this works. I have a couple concerns, but want to hear your opinion first.
Cheers

That's just a tad overstocked. By the time those angels reach their full potential, and the BGK starts putting some size on, that tank is pretty much full. It may work for a while (a long while even) but in the future I can almost guarantee you will run into some problems. Maybe going with 2-3 angels and cutting back on the "balloon rams" (never heard of them... Balloon Mollies?... Bolivian Rams?)...

Balloon rams are line bred bolivians to get short bodied rams. the bgk will go in my 90 as soon as he can get a bit bigger 4" now.

Oh, ok...

The BGK was my biggest concern. The balloon rams are new to me... hmm.

You still may run into some issues, but that BGK not being permanent definately helps. They aren't very active fish, so they really don't require as much space as some would think, but the do get fairly large.

I'll let someone else chime in now. ;)

In China I see many fish bred for short or balloon bodies. perhaps I should start a thread about it. Thanks for the advice. you think the rest will get on ok?
Cheers

Angelfish get bigger than most people think... 5 is probably pushing it, but it could work.

Personally, i'd ditch the gouramis add 3-4 more Giant Danios. Besides that, that really doesn't sound too bad...
