I found a NICE 55G for sale for $75(wood stand, tank, hood and filter). So I am going to be moving my wifes BP's out of my 120 and freeing up a lot of bioload in the process. So question: if this was your tank what would you add. You can see my stocking below and remember the BP's are getting a new home, plus I told the wife the Bala has until Jan 1 to either die of old age or get a new home.

FYI - I really like Nics or Texans. Either dash my hopes on those or suggest something else for me.

What I will probably do is use the 55 as a grow out for any new fish and then just switch them and the BP's out when they get bigger.

One other note: My 120 is a 4' tank.

maybe some thing liek 2 convicts, 2 firemouths something liek that.

how aggressive are the BP's

One is aggressive and one is not. Doesn't matter though cause I just want them out of my tank. They are my wifes so I can't give them away. I'm stuck with them until they kick the bucket but I can at least get them in a different tank and make my tank what I really want.

lol, i used to have the same problem

SEVERUMS! or do something like.. Jacks, convicts, firemouths, Rainbow cichlids...

I would prefer to stay away from Severums. I like them but just not in this case. I want something that will hold up against a male GT when he is full grown. Obviously I don't want to cram to many big fish in a 4' tank. If a Texas Cichlid would work that would be great. If not then suggest something for me that can stand up to a GT and is not you common everyday cichlid.
