So my last thread didnt help me much and I noticed the problem getting bigger. I have a 46 gallon Oceanic bowfront and the center brace bar broke at the top where it meets the backside of the tank. Now heres the problem, How do I fix this without taking out the fish?

I agree with pm0084, you should drain some water before trying to repair it.
That brace is there for a reason, so I'm glad you are taking action.

Good luck with repair

What kind of epoxy do you guys recommend? I have some GE silicone II lying around...could I use that? And what if I use a piece of acrylic the same size of the brace and kinda just replaced it?

no silicone stretches under pressure go buy a 4 dollar tube of plastic weld epoxy it set fast and holds STRONG

So I cant get away with JB WELD? I must use plastic weld epoxy?

I took off the glass top and the brace will not reach the other side. So am I going to have to make a new one?

Get a length of stainless steel bent, such that, it will run a few inches along the length of the center bracket and then bend up and around the back. Have two holes drilled into the ss section that runs along the bracket. Drill two holes through the center bracket. Attach the ss piece with nylon or ss screws. When you attach the ss piece, you may want to gently apply pressure front-to-back with a couple of bar clamps, just to tighten up the gap in the broken center piece.

I got it to touch using some ratchet tiedowns and epoxied it. Let it sit the 24 hours it said to cure, and just filled the tank an hour ago. BAM! Separated just now! I'm down and out!
