ok i hav a serious issue at hand... i have just seen people arguing about marine salt and aquarium salt... now i purchassed a big bag of salt, cannot remeber what but i am rushing to find out, now the woman in the pet store checked and told me it was the right stuff for archers, but i am very sinicle and willing to bet i have bought the wrong stuff... so can someone tell me which is best for archers? marine or aqurium? i will reply with the type of salt i have as soon as i find out... :(
thanks very much.

I say for any fish that is not marine, use aquarium type.

one of the mods will def know...or someone else. but isnt brackish water basically part sea water part freshwater so would be marine. blah ... what do i know lol

You didn't mention what fish this salt is intended for. However, if it's for the archers in your sig, you want to use marine mix. The common 'aquarium salt' is simply sodium chloride which is intended to be used for medicinal reasons. Marine mix (or marine salt) contains buffers and trace elements to mimic natural sea water. Your archers live in estuary locals where freshwater meets the sea. So, marine mix is your best bet to provide the proper conditions needed by brackish water species.

wow, wat a barrage of replies, this is amazing, i never expected help like this... thanks you all soo much! sorry i should have mentioned that it was for my archers, but you picked it up well... lol thanks for that. http://www.aquatics-warehouse.co.uk/acatalog/KENT_SEA_SALT.html
this is the salt that i bouhgt... :( omg please be the right stuff... please, please, please....
lol, thanks again for all the help.

aye, tis the correct type of salt. There are different types of sea salt you can use though that are probably cheaper and work just as well like instant ocean.
