I have a 37 gallon tall of all my tanks its the oddest shape of all i was going to get every ones opinion on what i could go with, If you have ever seen or delt with this tall crappy surface area tank you know my position, the tank is very tall and has potential to be very beutiful i just need some opinions. Im a sucker for preditory fish, but with the lack of surface area catfish are out of the question, any ideas guys..

Here is an old pic of the tank in use by its previous owner, its now been broughten in to my home and i decide to finally set it up its now simply just a white sand bottom with no occupents

get an archer fish. You could fill it up half way and use the rest as a place u could put branches and what not so that the fish can shoot down food. WORD!

thats actually a great idea! lol sadly i believe id have better luck winning the lottery than finding an archer arond here not more than 2 hours out of my way lol, keep em coming guys

Heavy plants and Monocirrhus polyacanthus.

Do u know how big the leaf fish gets, if there not to large, quite a few of them heavaly planted would look good, again awsome idea

i cant believe u cant get archer fish..
:nilly:

dats such a trip.

the things we take advantage of~

anyways.

leaf fish are cool man.
they have trippy colors.
and the tip of the mouths are cool.

planted tanks rock~
:cool-1:
GLUC MAN~

TFD caries archers too I believe.
That wouldnt be good for life for an archer anyway, I like the deep planted idea with some different tetras.

tetras are mini monsters:)

I had two of these tanks. One is used to breed zebra plecos. One has some growing altum angels and used to have a colony of apistos. Both are heavily planted. I like these tanks for small to medium sized fish - lots more water for the same footprint as a 29.

it will take some time and a lil work but i think i'll go Vitaliy's idea with the leaf fish, ive seen them before and they are very interesting fish, Any suggestions on plants?? anyway i will look in to this idea and hopefully get started soon, be on the look out for pics of THE LEAF FISH AUARIUM!
