Right now ive got a 75 with 4 Red Hooks, 3 Clown Loaches, 2 Pictus Cats, and one Pleco. They are all fairly large with the smallest being one of the Pictus cats at about 5". In the spring I am going to be "upgrading" to a 180. I was wondering if there are any "monster" fish that can be put in with these? Or if I should keep the 75 and maybe just flip some of the fish in the 180??

So come on guys, whats your thoughts??

Yeah but wouldnt the Arrowanna, snakehead, and tigerfish eat any of the current residents?

An arowana should be ok...assuming its a silver or a black. But there is still a chance of the aro killing the others. They should be large enough that the aro wouldnt though.

My three Clown Loaches are approx. 6 1/2 to 7"s. I have had them for about 8 years. Maybe I would be best to leave them in the 75 with the Pictus Cats and just move the Red Hooks to the 180.

Well i didn't think about the red hooks they would be the smallest of the bunch only reaching 4" but your loaches been 6 and a half inch would be fine with the Aro. Ok the snakehead would more than likly go for the loaches and the red hooks and your pictus once it hit's 15" maybe even smaller. But if you get an Arowana at a small size around 4" he should grow to be a good tank mate for your other's. But there is always the possability of him turning on them as soon as he's at a size he can fit them in his mouth !!!

What type of fish are you thinking of adding with Red Hooks in the 180 if they are the only fish in your current collection moved? You gotta have something in mind. :D

I also say a 8-10" Black or Silver Aro, but Maybe you can also put a 6-7" paroon shark in the 180 .
