OK to feed tilapia to pikes?

I can't seem to get my lenticulata on pellet food so I've been feeding him freeze dried krill and nightcrawlers. I got some frozen tilapia filets for my bichirs recently and tried feeding a couple pieces to the pike, which he ate. Is tilapia good to include in his diet occasionally? I'm thinking I could even start hiding pellets in the chunks of tilapia to get him used to the taste.

Try Repashy bottom scratcher gel food. It's a bit softer than pellets. Eventually they pound pellets like no tomorrow. You can coat the tilapia pieces with Repashy to ensure they are getting some vitamin. Sometimes they can feel the pellet in the tilapia and spit it out.
