Hi' I'm hoping to move me henlei x mantilla ray ( about 5 inch disc) into my larger tank which houses a marbled motoro ray which in excess of 12 inch disc probs a bit more . Will this be ok? I'm hoping to sell Henlie x mantilla ray soon so it'll hopefully be for a month of two at the most.

It would be ok if you cut all the food as for the little one to catch it. I mix small and big rays here, but its alot more work when it comes to the food, everything has to fit the smallest one in the tank.. I mixed big and small food bites once, and if i were unlucky one of the small rays took a big bite, and strugeled with that, and when he was tired of it, the big ray already had eaten everything..Thats my opinion and experience :)

It's not the best senario but it's possible. You will find the occasional bite marks and maybe a shorten tail one day on your little guy.

I lost a 6" motoro in with my 12" plus guys 2.2 he lived for a week or so... bad injuries! I wouldn't risk it...

touch wood it's been fine, the ray large ray sometimes covers the little ray when eating but think thats only where it's trying to get to the food nothing agressive.
