I was cruising around the web looking at fish and happened on a Japanese site called Aqua-Bonito. They have a pretty nice selection of unusual and hard to find fish (of course I don't think I'll be ordering anything from that far away).
Well anyway I saw a catfish they had advertised (of course it was sold out) that caught my eye. They show it as being a Pseudopimelodus aqurensis. But I find that hard to believe. First Planet Catfish and all the other reference sites do not identify a P. Aqurenis and second Pseudopimelodus, of course is the family that contains the Bumble Bee and Jelly Cats. From what I know and have researched all Pseudopimelodus have a forked tail of varying degrees. But this catfish as can be seen from the photos from their site has a lobe tail that is very similar to a Chaca Chaca's.
Maybe someone with some knowledge of this catfish can ID it for me and possibly provide a common name. And if anyone can tell me if and where this fish could be obtained here in the States I'd greatly appreciate it.
