Old Acrylic tanks?

Knocking around the idea of going with an acrylic tank for my first large tank. (180g) Anyone own an acrylic tank for a long time (5yrs+) how well do they age? Does Acrylic 'yellow' or anything like that? I know it is easier to scratch, has this been an inevitability over tong term ownership? Is it even noticeable when wet?

I've had ancient ones - no problem. They do get scruffed/scratched - I didn't bother cleaning them up - but that can be done. They do not "yellow" but might get a little opaque, but not to the point where you can't see through.

Unless you are extremely careful, an acrylic tank will scratch. Have not yet seen an old one without a scratch. Whereas older glass tanks can remain scratch free. To me, one of the only benefits of an acrylic tank is it's light weight.

They do scratch but can be buffed out pretty easily. I've even done it with water and fish in it.

Scratches on glass? Not so much and I have 2 with pretty bad scratches I'm kinda stuck with.

Acrylic is much easier to work with down the road in my experience.
