I am looking to get either a watermelon or royal pleco very soon and I'm wondering about the driftwood pieces that I currently have on hand.I have had these pieces for quite a few years now,at least ten years,so do they still have nutritional value to the panaques who will want to feed on them? They have gone through different periods of in tank use and shelf time over the years.

that doesnt matter,
plecos need some wood in their diet and also the most important part is the bacteria that grows on the wood it helps there digestive system and thats why they spend alot of time nawing on wood...
Regardless if its old or new bacteria will grow on it..

Thats good to see,thank you.
