Came upon an old timer's tackle at a garage sale a few weeks ago and I found some pretty cool stuff. It's obviously quite old and I was wondering if anyone else knows anything about this stuff?

I also have a few old reels and some old containers, like small metal tins with hooks in them. Very cool actually.

So here are the old reels. Both do function but are hard to turn over. I imagine they need some cleaning and greasing. The closed face reel has cork for a center that holds the line. I wonder if it slips less against mono? Not sure.

And here are those tins. One says its for pellets for a pellet gun, but both of them contained hooks. Very cool old school design and feel to these. I like them.

That stuff is all prior to 1965 which they are now antiques, got any sort of makers marks on the reels?

The Flies are about 1968-1970 original retail pricing.

Ill snap a pic but I traded a busted browning reel (1964) for a wooden buzz bait. It still catches fish.

I'm not sure what I would be looking for? Some sort of letter or what?
