I am setting up my 5 gal for a betta and I have some gravel that I had in an old tank. The only thing is that old tank had ich. Would the gravel be safe to use if rinsed in hot water? The gravel has been dry for a couple months now.

i would do it... maybe consider soaking it in some weak bleach first
That or boil it. I would think the ick would be dead by now.

Just rinse it and use it.Icks long dead. Now if we were talking malasian trumpet snails....

I always keep the old gravel. Never know when you might need some.

We have a 5-gallon bucket of it sitting in the front yard right now. It's been sitting there awhile... that reminds me... I should move that bucket of gravel that's in the front yard. :D
