Have it in a sump on a 150g tall, single 12-13 inch Oscar tank, tankmates are 7 SDs, a Leporinus, 2 small female convicts and an eclipse cat. Tank also has a Rena XP4 canister and an Aquaclear 110 HOB for filtration. I use 2 powerheads to further agitate the surface.
It has a small hang on the side(back) overflow with one (looks to be one inch) lift tube.
Hope thats enough detail, but my question, can I buy a new pump and increase the flow rate over the 3100? and If so how much?
I know the return can't over match the intake... so can I go bigger or just buy one of the same? Bought this set up used so not sure how they decided on the 3100 to begin with...
