I have five drilled 40g tanks I got from a Walmart display that had been removed during a store remodel. These tanks are the same tanks that petsmart and petco use for display. I am using them to breed tilapia that will be moved to a 1000g intex pool in my basement for winter then to a pond next spring. I am running a sump with k1 and changing 4% water with well water at least once a week and have had no problems so far other than a few fry making it into the sump. I am a little over a month into this project and allready have over 500 new fry and I feel like I am in an arms race trying to bring more tanks online and expand my capacity to keep up with my breeders.
