I know i was already asking about sand but the pool filter sand around me is very expensive. This tube sand is coarse do you think it would be safe for the fish tank?

Nope. PFS is what you want to do. It "is" worth it.

just wondering how much is expensive? and yea trust me and the other people saying do PFS it will save you ALOT of headaches, from cleaning, to filters getting destroyed by liquid sand paper

i have tube sand in two of my tanks, it looks nice, a sandy small gravelly mix. that being said the only reason i used it was because i got 250 lbs for free. It took tons and tons of rinsing and rinsing and rinsing. I dont know what the price difference is but unless you want to put HOURS into rinsing and getting really dirty go with pfs.
