Oldest fish

This question was prompted when Lady Pacu said she had a pacu for 28 years!!

So what's the longest you've kept a fish and/or how old was it when it died or was given away? What happened to it in the end?

I had a african lungfish for ten years, an orante polypterus of 8-9 years, and I currently have a perch that is hmmm.....10-11 years old.

Synodontis decorus since 1980, Synodontis brichardi since 1980, Synodontis macrostoma since 1981, Polypterus palmas polli since 1981 -All are still alive. A Synodontis alberti died in 2003 which I'd had for 19 years.

I had a feeder when i will little for 5 years and that has to be my longest kept fish

Do Koi in a pond count? Like 18 years...they were my parents, though. I would feed them and watch them, if that counts. They got them when I was 6. They're still in the pond at the house I used to live in.

If they do they will surely win, Koi have been recorded living longer than 200 years.
