Has anyone ever kept any oligosarcus species? I'm looking for any first hand experience... They seem like pretty cool little toothy guys. I've looked and searched every where and I've only found a couple first hand experiences with O. Hepsetus. Thanks

Those look cool, and they stay at a managable size! If their care is easy and they are commonly accessable, everybody would have these.

Wow those are some cool looking fish! Mini dorados lol. They seem very rare
Thanks man. Glad to see u getting back in. Your taste in fish was Fuego.
They're pretty rare only one person Ken I've seen sell these guys. Not super pricey but they look like a cross between a dorado and acestochynus panto. Paid for them and all today. My friend is gonna grow them out for me till I get back and restock my 300 if it's still there when I get home haha

Yeah they're dope. A trio running around a 300 with pickerel, Cudas, Odoe and hujetas would be dope. These are found in Uruguay so not sure if they'll be commonly accessible but apparently they grow pretty fast I'll post pics when they come
Edit: btws Ken took pics of these bigger guys (the pics I posted) and took the smaller guys home that I'm now getting. So they're gonna turn out just like the pics I posted hopefully

Oh yeah. He had some oligosarcus species I forgot. however what he has isn't O. robustus. Yeah he had those and some other little neat predatory characins like cyano payara. He had them for a month and they grew like an inch or so when he had a clearance on them in August or something

Well before shipping one of them jumped out and died so I'll be getting 2 of em tomorrow.

Nobodies kept these or any other oligosarcus before??
