I am 50$ short for my 55 gal aquarium kit. And i was waiting till wed. to get paid. So i was napping on our leather couch with the AC on and my mom came into the room and said i got a letter? I rarely get mail! It was from school teacher in my high school. :nilly:(There was a beach towel sale when school was still in and and i gave the paper to my dad and he took it to work. In the end i sold the most towels that were 16$ a piece, 52 towels and won. And they said the winner with the most towels sold got a gift card with money.):nilly: So i opened it and there was a $50 dollar walmart giftcard :mwave::mwave: i can get my tank now and start cycleing it.


P.S the drops of ammonia that you put in do they sell them at walmart?
 
WOOOOOOOO! Thats really lucky! lol...You could get some prawns if you cant get the drops..Of some fish food :)
 
I don't think they will have the pure ammonia at wal-mart. The stuff there will probably be mixed with some sort of detergent. If you have an ACE hardware store near you, they should have it. If not, you can use shrimp or fish food like others have said-both will decay and release ammonia. Just make sure to tie it up in some pantyhose or a fine mesh bag of some sort, or you'll having rotting food/shrimp bits all over the tank.
 
I've heard of fish food for cycling. Nt sure how. Also, if u needed 50 for the tank, but the card confines ur purchase to walmart.. that means ur getting ur tank at walmart? otherwise you're in the same predicament.. arent you?
 
i always used zebra danios .. hardy enough to live in toilet water .. and then they are food for the new fish when they get big enough ..
