I have a red tail giant gourami and he is about 16inches long. I was rearranging my tank today and i thought i would hang/float some plastic plants i wasnt using anywhere else. I just watched him eat a huge segment of one. I tried to pull it out before he swallowed it, but i did not succeed. I dont think there is anyway he can pass it. omg. is there anything i can do???

f! it gets worse. he just spit out a quarter sized leaf of it and my ornate bichir swallowed that. wow....wth?

ornate is also about 16 inches. thanks.

the gourami ate like a 5 inch chunk of it.

i guess i just have to wait until i feed them again to see if they are eating normally. but its been an hour now. i dont think either of them will be spitting anything up

anyone else have an experience like this?

update:

the gourami is eating, pooping and acting normal. But i have let to see a plastic plant in the tank. Maybe he digested it?

I am not sure which of my ornates ate the plant, but as far as i can tell, they also are acting normal.

A little different but my rtcxtsn swallowed a plastic filter intake cover! Took him about a week but he puked it up!
