i just started thinking about a change of scene from my fish i have the now i was originally getting a fire eel and keeping it as a specimen tank for life but i was looking into puffers and WOW im shocked at how much personality they have.
i currently have a 65 gal (fluval bow-front) stock will be handed in after treating THE ICK!!! and the stock are listed in tank set up on sidebar thing, which can and will be upgraded to my dads 100gal (5'x1'x2' i think) not for a year maybe a half but im wondering whats the nicest, puffer that can stay in above tank for life or can be handed in if it does grow out.
i dont have tons of money to spend so im eyeing up the fahakas right now. how much would i expect to pay for the fahaka(britain) and i work part time in a lfs doing minor stuff so finding one isnt gonna be a problem.

forgot to add that info on fahakas would be widely appreciated

An adult 18" fahaka needs a minumum of 120g, 65 won't do at all. Are you looking for an activr puffer or a really aggressive lurking kind?

listen to her..................believe me :D also make sure you cover your intakes/outs. i made a horrible mistake in my marine tank and forgot to put the cover on the intake after cleaning, well i lost my porcupine puffer, they are extremely curious. i blame myself for it. and always check your water params. thats the most important thing you can do for puffs.

really active aggressive puffer and im absolutely furious at the fact that one of my silver dollars brought ich in a week ago my baby fire eel which was active all the time got the worst of it only cos he comes higher than 8" for food but i can now treat my tank fully without worry of over de-ich-ifier to the scaleless eel cos he freakin died.
my outputs are above the water and output is extremely covered as i have owned a lot of eely-like jumpers so thats taken care of and i know to always listen to pufferpunk as i have seen alot of punks posts and my dad looks as if hes thinkin about upgrading to a 150-200 gal custom build so i think i may end up with his 100gal and i know that 65 wont last forever and i dont want tankmates

Thats why we quarantine fish :)

im doing that from now on my 10 gal is now up to temp but we'll have to treat the 10 cos we tried and tried to save my fire eel and it just took too much of a beaten off my severum and just coudnt make it but my other fish are looking better.

They jump man, even higher than my old cowfish did when it was scared by my snowflake!
