None of your business!
I came back from work..and returned my N.beani, and I looked inside my 220 gal and my Jaguar cichlid layed eggs she and the dovii are guarding them? Female jag, with male Dovii? Can this be a new type of fish?..the eggs are white, my festae and buttikoferi are freaked out and are hiding in the corner...I divided the tank, now since their breeding, I may get this new tank at my work it's a 340 gal it's giant, When I get this new tank..the Festae and butti will be happier and grow big, with the dovii and jag.Have you guy's ever seen, any dovii, jag mix?thanks...

its happened before..

They are obviously going to look like a jag x dovii mix if thats what the parents are :screwy: cull the fry, no one wants to see more hybrids floating around.

White eggs dont always mean fungus, several large fish lay white eggs that look like they have fungus, like oscars.

Take the rock out of the water and just scrape the crap off it. And then get a male jag and female dovii throw all 4 fish into the 340 your getting from work, and sit back and enjoy the show.

hybrid hating going on here

Well there is a hybrid section you might get a better response posting there. Well I guess by default they are both american cichlids but the offspring there..................

I'm no hybrid hater, but IMO a hybrid from two very similar fish that have nothing to offer one another is called a feeder. The young adult specimen that I once saw lacked the best qualities of both species. I would imagine though, that a nice male that could retain the blue of the dovii and the spotting of the Jag would be pretty.

Did I just contradict myself?
