I was this excited when my first pair of guppies bred... then two weeks later another 30, a week later about 50, then another 20 about a week later... soon you run out of room for the fry! My LFS would take them by the 20-30 or so as feeders, but they will EASILY breed like rabbits.

Guppies = the bunnies of the aquatic world.

Believe it or not, guppies are one of the best fish to breed for money because they are so common. Anyone can breed them, but most people can't or just aren;t equipped to raise the fry or at least not many. If you can raise them to adult size and they look cool people will buy them no problems.

I once saw a trio of guppies go for $80 at an aquarium society auction. Thats roughly 27 dollars a piece.

After a few spawns of guppies, you grow tired of having them when there are much better fish to spawn on the market at the same size.
