i wanted to take him home with me soooo bad!

its a baby talapia, for $4.25 a pound lol

but the mexican guy said i can only take him home if he was dead :( imma be like "i'll give you 10 bucks if your bring him to the back" tomorrow LOL

Yeah they are funny with all those laws. Well some ones gotta protect the indigenous population. There are tilapia here in Hyco lake. There is a nuclear power plant that uses the water to cool the reactors. Some one released them many years ago.

there are talapias in Lake Mead too! the population is pretty big too, my mom's friend nets them on a boat illegally, huge cichlids 3+ pounds each, and gives them to my mom sometimes, they're really delicious too lol

Yeah there are probably not many places that do not have some kinda invasive species.
 
Those laws are there for a reason lol. Down here in Texas, we have that law too but its pointless, seeing as that every spring theres a ton of them in the ditches/rivers/streams. Cast out a net and caught about 20 of them in 1 swoop.
