some of it has to do with if you release it, it becomes an invasive species, and can take over and reproduce, bc winters and such are warmer there and will not kill it.

Agreed!
 
also depending on the fish, it can obviously throw off the food chain, bc they can rise to the top of the foodchain with no natural predators, or in the case of gobys in the lakes around here, they can reproduce like mad so that even if some get eaten, alot more still dont and reproduce again, maxing it worse and worse over time.
 
you guys learned from what we did to our ecosystem here in florida :(
