This has been the third time i noticed my big flowerhorn having Hexmita and forming white residue inside this mouth.

The first and second time i put him in my hospital tank and cured him using Metro. After a week of treatment, all the symptoms seem to disappear, also when i put him back in the tank he is eager to eat and explore.

So now this is the third time I am seeing symptoms of Hexmita/HITD. Please help, I don't want to keep treating him over and over for the same thing and having the symptoms disappear then back again a few weeks later.

Also, on these following pictures you can see his stool, it is very stringy and is still attached to him.

My water is pretty much pristine and as far as diet i feed him hikari gold he doesn't touch anything else but that. Although, he does eat bananas from time to time

I am deal with a similar situation with one of female FH. Threated her twice (using Clout and Metro from INZ). Now she is in the hospital tank, eating and kinda happy. I don't think I can put her back into a big tank with other fish, except when it's time to breed her. FH with HITH are very sensitive to stress level (water, mating, tank mate, etc). And I think it could be a genetic thing too; her parents had them. Gens gotten week from inbreed? The bottom line is good luck.
