I was planing on pulling the gravel out of my tank and putting her on bare bottom but if I didn't would she be okay on the gravel it's smooth river pebbles if you have input I would appreciate it and I'm not using sand makes to much of a mess

I have seen an know plenty of people to use bare bottom. Works for them but not for me. I personally would dump the river pebbles depending on size. If the ray wants to hide and feel safe sand is best in my opinion. I use pool filter sand and have zero issues with it being a mess. That is also with 2 4800 gph pumps and a vortech mp40 running full blast on a 600 gallon.
Pebbles to me would be like using plywood as a bed sheet. You can do it but wouldn't be to comfortable. Best of luck with your new ray.

she´s a beauty congrats... i´d put some sand in it

Thank you and I'm debating it but with the tank already running I think it would make a big mess trying to put sand in and I don't want that is there any sand that is a little larger grain that wouldn't get thrown around as much as sand
