Well after getting 5 little mono Pbass about 3 weeks ago, I have had nothing but trouble with heaters malfunctioning and disease.

Over the past 2 days i have seen drastic recover. This has been their third case of white spot in 2 weeks. I would get to a point where the symptoms were just about gone and the next morning they were back. I believe that this was because of my malfunctioning heater. I did not realize I was have large temperature fluctuations. With the new heater and the water temperature sitting at 30.5 degrees Celsius flat or 86.9 degrees Fahrenheit, I am hoping this is the last I see of this disease for quite a while.

Seen quite a bit of growth despite all this. They are in a 10g now, moving to a 50 in 3-4 weeks.

Thats a bad case of ich, hope they fully recover soon.

Yea they got to a point where there was not much space on their body and fin where there wasnt a spot. I wasnt sure they were going to make, but they are pulling through now so fingers crossed :)

Thats what I never liked about small tanks, water chemestry and heat is just to fragile and gets out of wack too fast. I am using a 100gal to grow out my orinos because of that and had no problems.

Yea i got a heap of bio material and carbon was running a 1000l/hr internal and 380l/hr overhead filter. Chemistry wise i have been all good so far (touch wood).
Glad i got rid of that crappy heater, it would have cook them in a few minutes. Getting a 180 and 120 setup over the next few weeks, have to wait to move the stock out of my 50g then the pbass will go in there then into the 180 with an Leichardti arowana, some aussie catfish and maybe a barramuni. Then by that time i will be onto the next tank project :)

I moved mine out of the 10g last week and placed them into a 80g growout. I've noticed a fair bit growth in my five. What are you feeding yours?

Yea you cant really see it in the pictures but so far they have grown about a quarter of an inch. The only thing they eat is Frozen Bloodworms. I have tried pellets and brinshrip so far. Hoping to get them onto cichlid gold when they are a little bigger.

Good luck

Thank you

Mine have only been eating bloodworms and hikari mysis shrimp. How ever today, i,m straving them till dinner to try them on hikari gold floating pellets. Fingers crossed they're that hungry that they just snapp it up.
