I picked up a carpintis lahillas yesterday at my buddy's fish store. It has some tattered fins and its mouth looks to have been bitten by a fish with teeth (dovii etc). I think that its teeth marks, but anyway, its lips are poking out and look like there is some swelling from lip locking. The fish is around 7-8". I have to run out now, so I will try and get pics when I get back. I just wanted to get some perennial responses.

I have added salt to its tank and the temp is set around 82.

if the swelling doesn't go down after a day or so some melafix might help

Pics attached. they are from my cell phone please bare with me. The top part of the jaw is where you can see the damage, it looks like the fish bit the clear fleshy material between the face and the actual mouth hole.

He got his ace kiked

if he's still able to eat it'll heal up just fine, keep him warm and clean, and like I said before a little melafix can help if he doesn't look any better after a couple of days

thanks guys, yeah he looks beaten up, but I didnt want to see him suffering any longer.
