Anyone know why a molly might just pop out one baby and nothing more? I was getting ready to put one of my fish in a breeder because she looked ready to pop and everyone was picking on her. As I was doing that, I checked the whole tank and found no babies. About 5 minutes later after setting up the breeder and getting ready to catch her, I noticed one baby molly. This is the 2nd time one of my fish have given one baby and that's it. There isn't a chance of there being more and being eaten, because I was right there and would have seen.
Also, I had a guppy in the same tank (this is an isolation tank they go in before being put in regular tanks) that popped out just 2 babies and that's it.
